24TH DECEMBER – Christmas Eve
Arrive at the beautiful Angel and Royal Hotel where the warmest of welcomes awaits you. Take it easy and enjoy mulled wine and homemade shortbread, served in the lounge, where you can enjoy the warmth of the log wood fire and take pleasure in the hotels comfortable surroundings. Enjoy a buck’s fizz reception to meet your hosts and fellow residents, followed by a three course meal in the informal surroundings of the contemporary Bistro.

The Angel Bar will be holding a pub style quiz from 9:30pm, test your knowledge to win prizes. Then you can stroll to St Wulfrums Church for a magical midnight mass. Flasks of hot chocolate and warm mince pies will be available on your return to warm you on your way to bed.

25TH DECEMBER – Christmas Day
Enjoy a lavish full English breakfast before unwrapping your presents. Make the most of your free time strolling around Grantham or take part in our walking treasure hunt, getting to know the local history of the hotel and market town.

A drink’s reception in the lounge will commence at 12 noon, then join the other festive goers for a relaxing four course luncheon and a visit from Santa before moving to the television room to watch the Queen’s Speech…

Later relax in the lounge with a large selection of games with tea and Christmas cake or chill out with a selection of festive movies.

Bertie’s Bistro will be serving a sumptuous dressed buffet available throughout the evening allowing you to take it easy.

26TH DECEMBER – Boxing Day
Enjoy a hearty full English breakfast. Then the day is yours…Why not take the opportunity to visit Downtown & Boundary superstore nearby or tackle the sales in the local cities of Lincoln and Nottingham (Reception can assist with directions).

Return for afternoon tea in the lounge and an afternoon of fun with celebrity stars photo competition, bingo and a light hearted quiz.

Candlelit dinner in the King’s Room to the accompaniment of festive music and carols. Then ‘And they’re off’ for the cinematic horse racing event in our function suite.

27TH DECEMBER
Take time over a relaxing full English breakfast, before heading out for a day at the local attractions, races or Christmas sales – reception will be able to assist you with your requirements.

Why not visit the pantomime at the Guildhall - Jack and the Beanstalk, or have a chat with the resident historian over tea – who will tell you all the secrets of the hotel, famous visitors, staff, owners of old and the odd ghost or two …the choice is yours.

Dinner will be served in the bistro and the rest of the evening is yours to relax.

28TH DECEMBER
Enjoy a leisurely full English breakfast before bidding your new found friends a fond farewell and have a safe journey home. Or stay another night for just £45.00 per person Dinner, Bed and Breakfast

New Year celebrations 2008

Go on treat yourself…

New Year is coming and stress levels are increasing, relax and let the Angel and Royal do all the hard-work. The Angel is a hidden gem, whilst being in a town centre and near all the amenities it also provides the luxuries of a country side house with sweeping corridors, secret places as well as a few ghosts.

30th DECEMBER
Arrive at the Angel and Royal in your own time, enjoy a glass of hot mulled wine and home made shortbread in our comfy lounge or beside the roaring log fire in the bar. After a cocktail reception with the hotel’s hosts, we will be serving an internationally themed buffet in the Bistro, followed by a ‘name that tune’ quiz with our resident pianist.

31st DECEMBER – NEW YEAR’S EVE
Enjoy a relaxing full English breakfast then the choice is yours… spend the last day of the year relaxing ready for the celebrations this evening, last minute Christmas sales shopping, town walk with the local historian or visit the local micro brewery (the brewery visit must be pre-booked and there is an extra charge for this). Tea and scones will be served in the lounge for those requiring a rest from the days activities

The evening celebrations start with a champagne and canapé reception in the lounge, followed by a sumptuous five course gala banquet in the King’s Room. Its nearly here entertainment begins with our resident disco setting the scene. Raise you glasses of champagne for Auld Lang Syne then dance the night away until 1am with all your favourite Disco requests. Hot Bacon rolls available for those still a little peckish at 12.30am.

1st JANUARY – NEW YEAR’S DAY
Start the Year in style with a glass of Bucks Fizz with your breakfast/brunch from 9-11am. Spend the day recharging your batteries or take advantage of our
town centre location and be the first at the January sales. Quiz mania in the lounge with afternoon tea. Enjoy a candle lit dinner in the bistro, then relax in the
comfortable surroundings

2nd JANUARY
Enjoy a leisurely breakfast before bidding your new found friends a fond farewell or stay another night for just £40.00 per person Dinner, Bed and Breakfast.

New Years Eve Banquet
A stylish evening starting with a canapé and Champagne reception followed by a 5 course gourmet meal and Disco till 1am with Champagne and Bacon Rolls at midnight. Drinks reception from 7pm. £65.00 per head.

Situated in The Prince of Wales Suite, Christmas Lunch will be one to remember.
